We’ve been helping students into medical school for longer than anyone else in New Zealand. So what has this experience taught us?
We can definitively say that most students are vastly under-prepared to overcome the hidden challenges of premed. Many of the students who come to us have attended seminars, signed onto strict, expensive contracts, or only spoke to a few different people to get information. But this is high-risk.
Most medical students lack the volume of experience to know what will work for you. Their sample size is too small! And most “advisors” are salespeople who’s primary agenda is selling you their contracts.
Why are we "straight-up"?
JTT is a non-profit organisation created by doctors and medical students to provide the best support and tutoring on the market, without exploiting families. Our mission is to provide dependable information and support our future colleagues. We work with schools and district health boards to help students and parents make informed decisions about their path to medical school.
